[That's what D33 should be thinking. It's not uncommon at all for ImPorts to come and go in such a way. Surely there should be some sort of hope, some sense of reassurance that perhaps she isn't gone forever.

[But it never reaches D33. The news hits him the same way staring at a gravestone would. She isn't coming back. He never even takes a moment to doubt it.

[It's a very long time before the next message comes through - several hours, even, while he deals with anything but that.

[Eventually, it catches up to him, and he opens up their conversation again. The message Duo receives is as strange as it sounds.]

[Not "very well" or "I suppose" - just yes, and thereby a small admission that he does, in fact, need something right now. That isn't easy for D33 to admit, and yet, he's finding it exceptionally difficult to posture at the moment.]
